About Me

Food Photographer & Recipe Developer

Who I am: My name is Shawna, and believe it or not, I’ve always been a bit of a picky eater – which is probably where my love for recipe development as an adult comes from! I’ve also always had a passion for art and still remember using my mint green digital camera as a teenager, until my nephew threw it in the toilet… I’m a food photographer who loves capturing the yumminess of food, a food videographer who loves to show how simple it can be to make recipes or use food products, & a passionate vegan food blogger based in Florida.

Who I work with: Brands, food companies, food bloggers! Basically anyone or any business that has to do with food! Along with businesses that understand having
top-notch photography, videos, and delicious shareable recipes are some of the best investments they can make in their business; to help grow their audience and reach their target market! (AKA – I help you make more money by showcasing your food or recipes in the light it deserves.)

My Style: Light, bright, and colorful food photography! (But I can also do dark and moody, if that’s more your vibe.) I love to create content that your readers, or customers, can taste just by looking at the photos or watching the video. Generally healthy & easy to make recipes that are not intimidating to the general home cook, though I’m great at creating complex desserts, too! Work style: professional, punctual, &
flexible.

My Experience: I started developing my own recipes when I became a mom, almost 12 years ago, and wanted only the best food for my kids! Don’t we all?!

I am a graduate from Pretty Focused and have gone through Foodtography School, along with using books and other resources to enhance my food photography education! I’m a member of Professional Photographers of America, and I also have Bachelors degree in Psychology, with a focus in child development & neuroscience.

Fun Facts: I’ve always had a passion for art & I can be a bit of a nerd (such as
when I obsessed over learning the brain in college, now I obsess over nutrition – they’re related!)
